This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you buy a Medianet mobile pass through this site, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. What we collect

  • Contact details you enter at checkout: first name, last name, email address and mobile phone number.
  • Payment details are handled entirely by Bank of Maldives (BML Connect). We do not see or store your card details — we only receive a transaction reference and confirmation status.
  • Order data: the package you chose, amount paid, transaction reference, and the status of your subscription provisioning.
  • Technical data: standard request information (IP address, browser type, timestamps) recorded in our server logs.

2. Why we use it

  • To process your payment and activate your subscription.
  • To create or update your customer record in Medianet's CRM so the pass can be linked to a Medianet account.
  • To send you sign-in details and order confirmation by email.
  • To handle support requests, fraud prevention and accounting.

3. Who we share it with

  • Bank of Maldives (BML) — to take payment via BML Connect.
  • Medianet CRM — to create the customer record, account, device and service entries needed to activate the pass.
  • Service providers who help us operate this site (hosting, email delivery). They process data only on our instructions.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How long we keep it

We keep order and customer records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and audit obligations, and for any ongoing support relating to your purchase. Server logs are typically retained for a short period and then rotated out.

5. Your choices

  • You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • You can ask us to correct inaccurate details.
  • You can ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal obligation we have to keep certain records (for example, tax records).

6. Security

We protect personal information with reasonable technical and organisational measures. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimise risk — including not handling card details ourselves.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always shown on this page; the "Last updated" date above reflects when it was last changed.
